Got tired of waiting for this to be available at the library. So many people had said they loved it that I decided to use some of my birthday money and bought a copy at the Logmark Bookstore in Cheboygan, one of the last private book stores I know of. Anyway, I started it yesterday, finished it yesterday. Love how the letters helped me get to know so many characters. I was not confused by all the changing points of view. The story unfolded in such a natural way. Many wonderful books have been written about the experience of so-called ordinary people during World War II. Add this one to the list.
