I remember reading GWTW when I was twelve. I couldn't put it down and read it in its entirety in one day on a lazy, hot summer Saturday. While criticized by some, it remains the quintesential southern novel of it genre on my list. Of course, I cannot imagine Scarlett without seeing Vivian Leigh and Rhett without seeing Clark Gable.The movie does not disappoint.
Stories of scientists and adventurers always excite me. Thank you Mbak Nurul for lending me this book :) And the photographs astonished me. What a work to retouch those old pics so that they come out as clear as modern ones!
