I'm just going to say that I love this book. While I enjoyed the earlier chapters which had an awful lot to do with the history of science and all the colorful figures that made groundbreaking disoveries a lot more than the later chapters about much more recent findings (they just don't make wacky scientists the way they used to), I found this to be a wildly interesting read. Absolutely fascinating and eminently accessible. God bless Bill Bryson.
Too dry? Not in the mood? I managed to finish it, but don't understand why he gets so much more attention than many other Indian authors.
