All I can say is that I loved it!
I thought I already wrote a review of this book a couple of weeks ago, but I guess not. I can't remember now what I would have said except maybe "meh". I can't say I don't enjoy Steve Martin's writing, because in one sense I do. It's very down-to-earth and easy to follow and his characters are fairly entertaining, if not fully likable. I don't have much knowledge of the art world and in An Object of Beauty I found his take on art as a commodity interesting. But somehow when it all came together the story just fell flat. I enjoyed Shopgirl much more.
