Terry Goodkind's first book in the Sword of Truth series is amazing. The characters have depth, the plotline is complex, the character's relationships are believable, and Goodkind deftly uses literary devices to add another layer to his novel -- these are all things that I find to be lacking unfortunately, in Sci Fi and Fantasy novels, but this book is very well crafted. ...And the books to come after this one are even better!
