It's depressing, that cruel trick fate plays. I really liked the reading of this, though.

NOTE: I've read all 7 books in this series before writing this review, so I might make some comparisons every now and then. Even though I'll mention this in the reviews: the sex scenes are guaranteed flaming hot. This is Teagan's story and she's the second eldest. She's the hippie, talented singer and songwriter, who catches the attention of Sky Mitchell from “The Universe” band. He's hiding from the paparazzi and hanging out at Pat's Irish Pub. It's amusing how she didn't know about him while her dad did. She's a fun character and she clicked well with Sky. I laughed how Riley did the disappearing act. Sky wanted to go solo and is looking for fresh sounds, but Teagan's song is not for sale. It was a package deal, and Pat's suggestion that Sky stay at their apartment to write songs for privacy only added to their alone time. Natalie, Sky's photographer friend, would later appear in Friday I'm In Love. Sky's character was misjudged from the beginning because of his rocker reputation, but the both of them could be quite serious when it comes down to that. The thing about Mari Carr's stories that I liked most aside from how hot and erotic the sex is, is that she writes the perfect timing and not just out-of-the-blue. While other scenes are hurried when the time calls for it, others were really emotionally-charged and passionate. I liked the mystery-suspense angle here. I love the Collins family!

Little to say really but endlessly inventive and enjoyable.

Rose Hill is the scene of the crime. It's your average, small town gossip haven. Theo, the town bully and the town drunk, has been found dead. None of this small town's population are saddened. Actually it's quite the opposite. It seems everyone has had words with Theo at one point or another. Most people in the town believe that they are better off without Theo around. This makes police chief, Scott Gordon's, job very difficult. Maggie Fitzpatrick, a fiery redhead with attitude, owns the local bookstore and Scott's heart. Maggie and her best friend Hannah, go looking for clues on their own and uncover a secret so big that it incriminates almost the entire town. I really enjoyed this book. Pamela is so good with her descriptions that I feel like I was actually a part of Rose Hill. I'm a sucker for a good mystery and I'd rate Pamela up there with Mary Higgins Clark.
