I dreaded reaching the end of this novel for two reasons: (1) I didn't want it to be over; (2) I'd have to admit everyone was right about how good it was.

I thought it was a great ending. Many people are looking for either a sad or happy ending, hoping for the later, but Suzanne Collins decided to do both. While it wasn't as intense as the first two books, my attention was still kept at the edge of possible mayhem. I have to agree with my wife that there could have been one last chapter that resolved Katniss' life with Peeta in more detail. Overall it was a great book.

This book deserves between 2 and 3 stars, but I can't choose that option.

This book was one of the better ones that I have read in the past few years, but it was hard to match the greatness of its prequel, The Hunger Games. When Katniss Everdeen gets a Quarter Quell suprise launched opon her the rules of the Hunger Games begin to change. With plots and scams going on with the out side world, Katniss experiences one of the worst times of her lives with the Hunger Games. She and Peeta are forced to make new alliances among their competitors in order to survive. This book ends with such a suprise it will force you into reading the epic sequel, Mockingjay.
