I like to read historical fiction books and this one gave some good insights into how Virginians on both sides of the Civil War felt. The book had an obvious ending that took forever to reach. It almost seemed as if the author was trying to make her book longer and I found myself skimming a few pages. However, once the inevitable end arrived, I liked it.
