I liked this book but I didn't love it. The story wasn't as compelling as it could have been, but I love the way Ann Patchett writes. She was able to take a 24hr period of time and seamlessly tell a story by changing character voice, chronological time and place and still weave together a flowing narrative. I would recommend it.

Bizarre and beautifully written. You never know what you're going to get... but you pick it up, and "like a child, put it in your mouth..."

The book drags a little, but provides great insight into a prominent American political figure.

This book has lessons for adults even though it was read to me as a child, the dulldrums portion where they are going no where because they stopped thinking is so insanely true and all of the lessons in this book have taken me through my entire life with a different perspective.

A very in-depth exploration of a simple concept: how checklists can make things safer/smoother/easier in a world with more complex interactions and behaviors than ever before. The take-away rules for creating a checklist are also deceptively simple. Recommended for anyone who has to do complicated things, and wants to do them right every time.

This book is not easy to start reading. I myself read the first few pages a few times and never went on. Once you read 30 to 50 pages, you will start appreciating the book. For those saying the story was not worth it have failed to completely understand the book. This is not meant to be a one night read. Its something you need to read slowly, cherishing and appreciating the writing. I took a month reading it and i read only one or two pages at a time, afraid it would end. However, i warn you this book is no magic. Expect it to be good and you will love it. If you begin expecting it to be out of this world, you won't be able to cherish it. In conclusion : Read this! There is a reason why it has sold numerous copies worldwide. No other book can ever come close to this for me. After reading this and if you are able to implement its teachings, your life will change completely.

In retrospect, I can't believe I read this gramatically troublesome, self-important drivel. It was a quick read, but still an entire book of male-centric (the author assumes the reader to be male), egotistical relationship advice from someone who doesn't seem to have gotten around too much. But it struck a chord in me, I found at least a little wisdom in his words. And I did take the time to read it, which must mean something.

great complementary stories to the matrix universe. it's not always about neo. and vol. 2 is just as good.
