Not content with being Prime Minister, Cerebus works his way up to being Pope! A facinating story of political struggle, religious belief and power grabs, Sims creates a complete, believable world and a fantastic, at times very funny and very touching, epic.
This is a sweet book about wildlife rehabilitation and especially the relationship between a man and an injured young eagle.
I thought this was overall a pretty good series for teens. Some of the scenes actually caught me a bit by surprise by the way the author went. For a teen book with some PG13 content I thought it could have used a bit more romance. The way Katniss kept using the term “kisses” was a bit babyish considering the fact that she killed people. I think a more thoughtful ending would have really done a lot for these books as well. Some sort of less obvious moral, some sort of deep underlying anything would have set them apart from other teen books. A shame or perhaps a wasted opportunity? Regardless, it was well worth the fast read that I would certainly suggest to anyone with a curious eye on the newest hot books.
